Mayor Keith Wilson
"Portland just closed a record $170 million shortfall — and we still kept every fire station, park, and community center open. Measure 26-267 would undo that work. It writes a permanent budget set-aside into our city charter — something no city in America has ever done — pulling at least $16 million a year from the fund that pays for shelter beds, park maintenance, and investigators, and handing it to a process the measure doesn't even define. No future mayor or council could adjust it. Portland can't afford it. Vote no on Measure 26-267.”

Council Vice President Olivia Clark
“We are already struggling to support basic city services. This measure puts those services at further risk of cuts, permanently. At least $16 million a year would come out of the same General Fund that pays for the essentials, like 911 dispatch and parks maintenance. I will be asking every Portland voter to join me in voting no on Measure 26-267 this November.”
